What will I need to hire a bike?

You will need a full driving licence from any EU country. This will have to be kept on you at all times along with the bike hire contract. If you hold a full driving licence from outside the EU, please contact us.

What is the minimum age to hire a bike?

The minimum age to hire a 49cc scooter is 17, providing you have a full driving licence. To hire a 125cc you will need to be 18 with a full driving licence.

Is there a minimum age for the passenger on the scooter?

There is a minimum age of 10, however they will need to be able to reach the footrests and fit in to one of our helmets.

Will I be provided with a helmet? Are there any extra charges for it?

You will be provided with a helmet, we will make sure that it is a suitable size and comfortable. All scooter rental prices are inclusive of helmet hire.

Do I have to wear my helmet at all times whilst on the scooter?

By Spanish law you have to wear your helmet at all times when mounted on a scooter.

Can my partner drive the scooter too? If so, are there any extra charges?

If they have a full licence and are a named driver on the contract, they are more than welcome to. There are no extra charges incurred by having two people named on the contract.

Where is the pick-up / drop-off location?

The pick-up and drop-off location will be the shop in Cala'n Porter. Other locations can be arranged, however there may be some extra charges applicable. Please contact us to discuss this further.

Are there any charges for bringing the bike back after the agreed time?

There will be a day's rental liability if the bike is brought back after the agreed time.

Do I need to bring the scooter back with a full tank of petrol?

You will receive the scooter with a full tank of petrol, so you will need to return it with a full tank. Penalty charges will be charged for non-compliance.

Am I able to take the bike off of the island via ferry to Mallorca?

Unfortunately not, the bikes are only insured on the island of Menorca.

What happens if I incur any penalties by the police ie parking fines?

Any penalties incurred on the scooter will be the responsibility of the named drivers on the contract. These should be cleared before returning the bike to us.
